In my case it's ETH,SDV, DEN (Stapleton), the old AUS

On non-commercial flights, Carmel Valley, CA and Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ
I hadn't realized that xIST is closed now so have to add that to the list along with a previous poster who reminded me of Montreal Mirabel which I suppose is cargo only now? Also the old ATH. I was on the first United flight from Paris to Athens .

Flyertalk members have so much experience that if an airport closed, someone must have used it before.

Big airports that have closed include Munich/Riem, Hong Kong/Kai Tak, Denver Stapleton, etc.

Anyone use Greater Southwest International / Amon Carter very close to DFW? Templehof? Gaza? Goteborg Save? Fornebu (Oslo)? old Quito?

I visited Save but used Landvetter Airport

DEN (Stapleton)
UCA (Flew in and out of there in the 1970's, when Allegheny's LGA-ITH service made a stop at UCA.)
PLB (There are apparently some planes still based there, but the airport is closed to "itinerant aircraft." Service is now provided by PBG.)

For me, Kai Tak HKG, Ataturk IST, and the old Bangkok airport. I can't think of any others offhand, but maybe this thread will jog my memory!

Yes, as DMK
Still has many commercial flights

Since the opening of the new airport, it has become a regional commuter flight hub and the de facto low-cost airline hub. In 2015, it became the world's largest low cost carrier airport.

Templehof/Berlin
Reim/Munich
Stapleton/Denver

Probably +50 more if you count non commercial airports. I’d have to dig out some old log books.

New Doha is a new terminal AND a new air field. Not at all the same as before.

On my side :
HKG, DOH, IST and AGA (GMAA closed in 1991 and was replaced by GMAD)

Manston airport in Kent, England, which had the longest runway in England apparently and featured in the Battle of Britain. Can't remember the code, think it was MSN.

I am among the many who flew out of the old DEN (Stapleton) and have flown out of the new one.

In the years before the move from Stapleton, there was loads of pubiicity about the new airport, which for at least two years we were told was going to have the code DHX. Whatever happened to that?

DEN - Flew out from Stapleton, returned to the new airport a few days later the night it opened. The pilot got lost getting to the gate!
HKG - Loved the approach through the city as we landed. Missed it!
YMX - Montreal Mirabel (thanks Admiral Ackbar, I almost forgot about that) - although it still operates for cargo operations. That I don't missed, it was in the middle of nowhere, which was it downfall.
