Who want to be on last 747-400 aircraft?

Who want to be on last 747-400 aircraft? Soon the entire 747-400 aircraft will be retired. I will miss 747-400 aircraft very much.

Whatever if you want to be on last 747-400 aircraft. You decide. It's your choice

It would be neat. I will miss the 744 as well.

Not me. My first was AN which was great. TG were also very good. Missed flying SQ.

Yes, I flew on 747-400 for 4 times. I flew out AMS-LAX on KLM, and also, I flew out LHR-PHX for 3 times on British Airways. I enjoy ride on the 747-400 aircraft. Soon, they will downgrade from 744 to 787-9 Dreamliner as October 29, 2019. I will miss 747 very much. This is my last ride.

Have all of the 744 passenger operators announced retirement dates yet? Still a few decent-sized fleets out there....BA, LH, KL, QF, etc.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._747_operators

LH and a few others will obviously have 748's in the skies for years to come.

flew quite few times the 747-400 mixed on KLM AMS-DXB and return, as well as AMS-ORD, AMS-SFO. Always great flights. Flying economy comfort on KLM was great, as they had the galley on the side, meaning it was a small cabin just over half the width of the aircraft, 5 seats abreast (3 + 2). Very cosy

I'd forgotten about that unusual KLM layout! It was almost like being on a DC-9/MD-80.

Actually can't remember my last 744 trip... Might have been KLM YYZ-AMS in J. Yes I think that was it, and it was at least ten years ago.

I’ve been on a few - AF YUL-CDG in 2003, LY JFK-TLV (round trip) in 2008, and DL DTW-ATL (round trip) in 2016 (that one was a splurge since it was our last flight before their retirement - rode in 1A/K outbound, and on the upper deck returning).

I’ll miss them. Kind of a bummer not too many airlines ordered the 747-8.

I logged a bunch of trips on UA - business up top was amazing but the
F cabin (RIP) was the best. In row 2 you had the plane to yourself.

That having been said, my one trip on SQ on the upper deck was jaw dropping.

What a bird. Solid as a rock, takeoff was like nothing else.

Been riding 747s since childhood (that would be the 1970's) - including the pre-400s. I remember a trip on a CI 747SP that also had the side galley - very cool for a 9 y/o to walk around and enjoy that whole space without being told to get out!
A couple more 747-400 trips this year on BA.
I do need to figure out how to take a trip on a 747-8i, something I still haven't done as I don't usually fly LH, CA, or KE. Anyone else operate them?

Not at all nostalgic about such things. Couldn't care less.

Thai had that layout but in Business, making it 2+2 when I flew them two years ago. I didn't like it at all as it made the cabin even darker than usual.
