Question Seemed like there was almost always a cart in the aisle...

On a typical flight on an airline where drink or food is served from carts, what percentage of the flight time is that where a cart is in the aisle?

Flights under 2 hours it will seem like a high percentage of the time a cart is out, from 2-5 it will seem low and on flights 5+ they do it more frequently but then they are often on widebody aircraft with corresponding crew levels which makes the process more efficient.

Last flight was 4-5 hours on a single aisle plane, and it seemed like the cart was almost always in the aisle.

What airline and route? Last one I did was B6 to Austin. FAs did two passes with the cart and between them walked through the cabin doing spot checks & deliveries.

Alaska Airlines from Hawaii to the mainland US. Seemed like they did drink service out of the cart multiple times so that the cart was in the aisle most of the flight (that in addition to the cart with the movie tablets they were renting and the cart with the food for sale).
