BOS-SEL choices

I hope I'm at the right place.

I have an important business trip to Seoul coming up, and am trying to decide on flights. The cheapest is United, through SFO, but there's only an hour layover, which makes me nervous. I have a day buffer, but still, I want to be safe about getting there on time.

Another $450 gets me AA through DFW, again with a one hour layover, or Delta through SEA (1h13m). Even more $$ gets Japan Air.

Is one hour enough? I'll probably be checking a bag. I'd probably trust AA over United these days, especially to not delay (SFO worse than DFW).

Any advice?

Any tips?

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

In the vast majority of scenarios an hour at SFO or DFW or SEA will be enough time to make the connection. The question is what you'll do if you miss. There's a midnight flight on Asiana from SFO to ICN as a backup option 12 hours late. There are also Asiana flights from JFK or ORD that you could switch to if your BOS departure is running late enough that you know you're in trouble before you get off the ground. The AC flight via YZ is probably the best balance of connection time risk and flight schedule. Plus more time on the long-haul biz product for a more comfortable trip. Where does that price?

Thank you!

United / SFO is $1100, AA / DFW is $1425, and Delta / SEA is $1425. Air Canada through YYZ is a little less but has a very long layover (8-16 hours!)

Currently leaning toward Delta, though maybe AA is ok. United saves me a couple hundred bucks, but boy are they looking bad these days.
