Interline agreements

Is there a place I can look to find out which airlines have interline agreements with other airlines? Right now I am specifically interested in which airlines interline with Emirates, but I may need to find out about other airlines.

ExpertFlyer has this as part of their paid offering.

It is on the EK website.

IATA sells this data as part of their MITA product offering, but it is very expensive ($24000+).

And they told you this is confidential and proprietary information when you called and asked?

???

Am I missing something? OP is asking where information can be found. OP didn't state anything about calling anyone, asking anything, or getting any proprietary information.

Sorry, missed a word. Edited my post.

I was commenting on the fact OP could have easily just called the airline and gotten an answer much more quickly.

Yes, I could have but I was interested in many airlines and was hoping there was a source that listed all of the interline agreements, not just emirates.

Out of curiosity... why? Were you planning on choosing a carrier for a trip on the basis of interline agreements?

Yoshi212 Feb 2, 2018 7:42 pm

One might if it meant that transiting in a hub where a visa is required to get your bags and recheck them vs going to the lounge and getting a shower & some drinks.

Not sure I followed that.

For example, Indian Citizen on Indian Passport flying via FRA to Atlanta on a ticket of AI to DL. If AI & DL do not have an interline agreement or the traveler doesn't have the correct visa to enter Germany (EU) to get bags and recheck. Ideally airlines on 1 itinerary are supposed to interline but some itineraries are put together outside the standard to get desired routing.

Possibly. Probably. If I have an option where schedule and price are similar, the interline agreement might be the deciding factor. Also the existence or lack thereof of an interline agreement will most definitely affect choosing flight times (to ensure adequate time between flights) as it is looking more and more likely I will have to be purchasing 2 separate tickets (something I try to avoid).
