Do not put this misinformation out there. This is completely untrue. If you call and change the dates on your booking. (which is also up to the hotel as you know the 72-hour rule does not just indicate you cant cancel after 72 hours it also means no changes. Now, I work in a hotel. If someone calls and we allow them to change the dates on their reservation then we will make significant notes indicating that if they cancel we will charge them.
