Seem like a good move to me. Keeping explosives off the airplane sounds a lot more effective than making sure the bomber is on board when the explosive goes off. There seems to be an ample supply of those who don't find that to be a significant deterrent. |

Do I 100% trust the screening? Probably not. But then you're right - going down with the plane doesn't deter a lot of the 'new generation' of terrorists.
IMO, the screening is much more effective than matching and matching can create significant delays for very little additional benefit over screening alone. |
