Short flight first, long flight second. There's nothing worse than getting off a long flight, feeling all scummy and gross, and knowing that you still have an annoying second flight ahead of you.

I am probably not that fussed. I hate the idea of a super long flight and would rather have stop even though the total trip time is longer. I fly up the front of the plane and 7 hours is probably my maximum where I don't mind the flight. 10 hours are a nightmare. I'd rather 2 x 7.

I'll take a 2 hour flight and a 14 hour flight anyday over two 8 hour flights.
And if possible, I'll take the shorter flight first. I'd rather arrive at my destination coming off the longer flight. (Ex: FLL-EWR-HKG) |
