Has there ever been any airport whose moving sidewalks all worked at the same time?

This is a serious question.

I don't think I've ever experienced a situation where any single airport has at any single point in time in its history had all of its moving sidewalks working simultaneously.

Nope, not in the history of mankind.

Also whilst we are on the subject of moving WALKWAYS, what part of walk means "stand, preferably blocking as much of the WALKWAY as you can whilst staring aimlessly at your fellow passengers who are running late to their connections?". Grr.

I guess we could just agree to call them "travelators" like they do in the UK.

But whatever you want to call them, please don't anyone block my way on one. I have even less patience with that than I do with people who block me from walking on escalators.

Stand on the right; that's all you have to do, and we'll all get along!

ORD's Terminal 2. There is always one out of commission on the walkway between the B and C concourses. Who makes this junk?

Definitely agree with this (left in some places), but it's doing the moving so I don't have to. ;)

Hmm.. I have to say I haven't encountered one that isn't working at HKG yet..

But indeed, please WALK on these WALKWAYS! (or stay by one side without blocking anyone)

Everyone in Auckland on Saturday must have been tired. The moving walkways were working but their legs weren't.

They all seem to work, all the time, at TLV Terminal 3

I was just at HKG two weeks ago and they definitely weren't all working then.

XNA, but it's kinda cheating as it only had (has?) one; advertised as the first one of its kind in the state of Arkansas.

That's actually kind of funny. :D There's a meme there... "the first X of its kind in the state of Arkansas."

Wow. I guess people do talk about everything!

Actually, in my experience they are almost always all working at Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok. Probably the only thing there that does work.

A whole lot of people take the travelators because they can't walk. Either have mobility issues or are carrying a lot of baggage. Standing on them is just fine. Just keep to one side so people can pass. No standing side by side.

If they would just put up signs to tell people to stand on the right the problem would be solved.

This is funny because I was also at BKK several times in the past 2 weeks and they weren't all working then either.

Yes it would. At ATL in the transportation corridor, they actually have a looping announcement asking people to "please stand on the right to allow others to pass."

SIN on quite a few occasions.

And by definition all airports that don't have travellators ....
