man was late for his flight, so he got into the jet bridge & jumped off, missed plane

man was late for his flight, so he got into the jet bridge(which was already
closed by the gate agent) and proceeded to jumped off, trying to get to his
plane.

unfortunately, he still missed the plane, as shown in the pics below.
he was apparently injured as a result of the fall.

Google Translate doesn't do a very good job, but I think the pictures
speak for themselves. This incident took place at Nanjing airport(NKG)
in China.

The door had to be closed to have the jetbridge pulled away, no? What exactly was he trying to accomplish? Did he think he was Spiderman?

Bummer. Seemed like a really solid, well-thought-out plan too...

since he was strong enough enough to survive the fall, he probably had good
genes... his offspring will probably survive better than others? (the weak ones
would have been killed by the fall from jet bridges already)

you know... that brought back old memories.

prior to 9/11, my company's contracted car service driver
would meet me right at the gate. after 9/11, he had to
wait by the curb.
