Name suffix is inconsistent on tickets and does not match passport
My husband and I are traveling to Turkey in a few months. I submitted his name for airline booking EXACTLY as it is on his passport, as required, but the suffix is showing up differently on every ticket. We are on several different airlines and the name on his tickets are inconsistent:
Examples Last name on Passport: Smith III Airline 1: SmithIII Airline 2&3: Smithiii This might seem minor, but I don't want to risk a delay or worse. Should I be concerned? If so, how do I remedy this? |

No. Nothing to remedy. Enjoy your trip. One of myriad similar threads http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...-passport.html |

Enjoy the trip! Hope that they don't slap you with SSSS on all your travel once you get back.

had a few tickets like that in the last 6 weeks. Delta and Qantas said as long as everything is spelled correctly, it didn't matter if it was all squished together.
you can't fix it, it's just the way their computers record and display your info. |
Like said before, no issue.
I have two last names with space in between: Xx Yyyy. My ticket name is usually printed as XXYYYY. Side note: now the law in my country of birth has changed and you're not allowed this name pattern anymore, only Xx-Yyyy with a dash. |
My name is easily misspelled. It doesn't happen when I book tickets online myself, but that's not always the case. I've flown with some rather weird variations on it. Never a problem, other than needing to tell check-in agents, for some of whom English was not the first language, what "family name" to look for.
Don't worry. |
