Searching For Airport Codes on the Internet

In 2007, JNU-SEA-ATL-SVO-PKC round trip (a trip from he'll that I'll never fkrget) on a YCA fare and a few random trips here and there netted me gold.

A majority of customers (counting people, not flights) take one trip per year.

True, good point. As a side note, my previous post is severely leaning towards DYKWIA. Ooops.

Wow. JNU-PKC is only 2500-odd miles but due to lack of available shorter routes you flew 12,600-odd miles each way. Trippy.

Curious why you went to PKC? If for leisure, you have a sick sense of humour.

It looks like a mileage run ;)

YCA is government travel. I suspect herzmeh was told to.

Where is PKC? It's not included in the FT airport code lookup.

PKC - Yelizovo Airport (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport) (IATA: PKC) located in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka Krai, Russia.

That sounds like a horrible place to have to go.

I tried lobbying FT to implement one of those auto-detect plug-ins that would give a flyover for things like airport codes and other travel-related acronyms, but it didn't go anywhere. I still think it would be incredibly helpful. I bet people here collectively go look up such codes hundreds of times per day.

Well see there's this magical invention called Google. If you just type in "PKC Airport" you are instantly told which airport it is. ;):p

That's exactly what I did when I saw the original post.

???

That's exactly what I was referring to when I said people "go look up" such info.

In no way is leaving a page to search for info. better than having that info. right there on the same page.
