Question Inflatable footrest for bulkhead longhaul?

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can take an inflatable footrest for travel in the bulkhead for long haul flights? I'm 5' and my legs just dangle! I'm doing VA to the USA.

Cheers!

I don't know why you couldn't. I use my carryon as a footrest on the bulkhead all the time.

Shouldn't be a problem; I'm also fun-sized, and I use an inflatable beach ball as a footrest.

What a great idea. My knees always hurt after flights if there's no way to put my feet up because the seat hits me in the back of my knees and I think sort of restricts blood flow. It's always better when I have a way to prop up my feet if there's no foot rest.

If you have a window seat it shouldn't be a problem. If not, then you're blocking the exit for the pax closer to the window. Some airlines will likely object.

As long as you don't have anything by your feet during takeoff and landing, FA's have generally not said anything, IME.

Wouldn't there be a concern about a blow up beach ball being in the way of an evacuation?

Another alternative - I have used my carry on as a footrest/ottoman before and it worked pretty well. Used it on my 14 hour flight Johannesburg last month. As others have said, not during take off and landing.

VA being Virgin Oz, Virgin Am or Virgin Atlantic? If it's the latter in PE then they'll give you footrests after take-off.

Flying is better than taking that really long bridge that connects Poland to Africa.
