These dogs are trained to look (wrong sense) for certain things. Fear is not among those things, so the dogs will not be interested in you just because you are nervous (as opposed to a human immigration or customs officer). If the dog has no reason to linger around you, it won't.

I was once falsely accused of meat smuggling by a very cute beagle (my day pack probably retained the scent of a sandwich from the past). The dog won't jump on you if it smells something; it will sit and look up at you with what appears to be affection.

California Department of Agriculture Beagle Brigade at work. The goal is to keep destructive insects, parasites and fungus out of our State by keeping plant and produce that haven't been certified for importing. Take a deep breath and the dog will pass by quickly you unless you are harboring something that you shouldn't be carrying.
