How does your loyalty program rate? [Student survey.]
You are invited to participate in an academic study on hotel loyalty programs, conducted by University of Nevada Las Vegas, College of Hotel Administration. We want to learn the opinions of program members about various loyalty program features and benefits. The survey will take 10-15 minutes and is completely anonymous. The survey link will be available for four weeks from the first post date.
Your participation in this university research will be greatly appreciated and could help companies improve their loyalty programs. After we receive and analyze the results we will inform the forum of our findings. I started to answer and bailed. Most of the questions on the first evaluation page were about my interactions with program representatives in my favorite program. I've never had any. I've had interactions with hotel staff from General Manager to Director of Guest Experiences, to say nothing of front desk, lounge, and other staff, but not with anyone who works for the program itself. All these questions, and probably others in pages I didn't get to, need an N/A answer option.

Actually I also bailed - but based on the structure of the survey. Too many repeating control questions.... I have a hard time remembering what I said the first time for a specific item and didn't want to have my second answer on the same question be different. ;)

We really appreciate your feedback and comments! So just to answer some of the concerns about the study: Yes, I'm a PHD student conducting this research with the Faculty advisor. And Yes, the study was approved by the UNLV IRB. We are very sorry that the questions seem a little repetitive and there seems to be a lot of statements to go through. With this study we are following the procedure of scale development and really trying to find the statements that measure the loyalty programs from the fairness perspective. We value your opinion as experts in hotel loyalty programs. It will be very helpful if you consider going back and finishing your responses. I'd like to confirm this is an actual student survey and not marketing or spam. I had reported it to a moderator, and the moderator let me know they have indeed vetted it.

I hope as a PhD student you understand the difference between a "study being conducted by UNLV" and a "study being conducted by a PhD student as part of a dissertation." These are two VERY different types of studies!
