Online timetable search for all airlines: help!
This is just a general question, not UA-specific, but...
Does anyone know if there exists a decent online site for general airline timetable searches? I used Expedia's timetable search feature for years, but in the last few months, it seems to have (1) become completely non-functional (i.e. all searches come up with null results) and then (2) disappeared entirely from their site. I've tried Googling and can't find it, nor can I find anything about them discontinuing it. This is the closest substitute I've found, and it's not as good. Is there any other way to search airline timetables without booking? |

I'm one of the volunteer moderators who help with the site. Since your question isn't specific to United Airlines or the MileagePlus program, I will move your question to our TravelBuzz! Forum, which is for general, travel-related discussion. I hope you find the answer you are looking for and enjoy the site. Regards, FlyinHawaiian, Co-Moderator United MileagePlus Forum |

Seems like this site is more about seat alerts than timetable searching.

I forgot to mention a couple more conditions:
1) Something that's a timetable search, not an airfare search. The beauty of the Expedia feature was that it only required cities and a date, not a bunch of extra things that apply only if you're purchasing tickets. 2) Free. Je suis un cheapskate. Anyone know of any other sites? :) Also, does anyone know whether Expedia really shelved its timetable feature? I tried Googling but can find no word about it. |
Goldenware Travel Technologies used to make PC-based timetable software for a lot of airlines and alliances. They even made a general timetable software which essentially combined all of the airlines and/or alliances into one package. I'm guessing they are now out of business.
This is the only link I have found for the company, but it goes nowhere... http://www.skyguidetimetable.com/iphone/ I used to do data mining for a game that required airline schedules, and I paid for a KVS Tool subscription because it was the easiest thing to do. |
Not free but what many non-revs use outside their own airline res system.

Try google flights at https://www.google.com/flights/, this is free, you can restrict to one, several, all airlines; it displays monthly price "grids" for up to one year in advance. Once you are ready to book, it "seamlessly" sends you to the airline to finalize your selections.

It is very good, but at times the fares are out of date and it can find itins that are impossible to actually book (for me at least.) |

I've used matrix for years, and it is now owned by, and I believe driving, the Google search results.

Lot's of LCCs do not show up on most of these sites. google flights will give links to some - but it still requires a broader search to identify those.
