On a track with proper instructor or training, yes.

In SG with that traffic and enforcement? I would get better value at tracks.

Better option will be in UK or Germany. They have the same sort of deals, but better roads and some packages even offer multiple cars for you to try over a few days.

I did this when I was younger in UK and Italy. You get different cars during the day on a closed track with morning instruction session.

Having driven in Singapore I would say this is definitely more bang for your bucks.

Empty track, or on the street?

I gave my wife one of these, at our local track, as a milestone birthday present. A few laps in a Gallardo and a few laps in an MP-12C. It was pricey, but there are enough deals/coupons to bring the price to about 1/2 list, and it's a one-time splurge type of event.

If you're a regular track rat, be aware it's quite restricted - no manual shifting, etc. But for a novice who wants to have some fun on a special occasion, it can be fun and memorable.

I saw something like this outside the Louvre this summer - a 430, iirc - to drive around the city streets. I don't imagine that would be as much fun, though it was cheaper.

The website that looks like what you saw is of the street driving variety. It seems to try to fool you by saying it's "on the famous F1 course", but Singapore F1 is a street circuit, so you'd be driving the open city streets that are closed for the race.

I tried it once in UK with a 2 day package for 4 cars many years ago. It includes 1 day closed track, and 1 day open road.

The only problem (albeit a small one) was that you need to stop every 1 & 1/2 to swap cars during open road day. That's when you need to wait for the slower ones to arrive at the pre-arranged stopover point.

Supercar Driving Experience

Hubby has done it in Monte Carlo, Maranello, Monza and London. London in particular was great value especially on a racing track and had a camera in the cars he drove. All these times he had brief training and got to drive himself for a great length of time.
He laughed when he saw it in Singapore. Overpriced and not a real driving experience.

Not sure if there's still an outlet/office/kiosk in MBS, but there definitely is one at Suntec. http://www.dreachong.com/2014/06/dre...xperience.html (not my blog, random google result)

It's driving on Singapore roads, which are at best 90km/h ... so ... give it a whirl and do report back on how the experience was lol.

I keep getting Groupon offers for this...a much shorter experience for $99.

I'm just afraid that after 3 laps in a supercar, I'd want to do one of these 2-day experiences that you guys are talking about!! I'm sure those are a wee bit more than $99... ;)

We tried that service at MBS a few years ago; I think it's still the same company.

If the route hasn't changed, it's about half city driving and half highway (ECP).

We got both the Ferrari and Lamborghini, and they let us swap cars halfway.

You'll get much better value if you do this somewhere like Vegas, but if you're into this sort of thing and live in Singapore, it's a nice birthday gift.

Another option is to check out driving packages available on the track in Sepang.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know of a company in Rome that offers a Ferrari (Or Lamborghini. Anything fast, really. I'm not picky) driving experience on a track? I found a few that have driving tours around Rome, but I think with traffic, it won't be as much fun.
