A different (first-class) carrier back
 

I was surprised at people's answers, when I asked them. I wonder if the FT community is different.
I booked a reward flight on OneWorld. I am flying first in CX, and on the way back chose to change it to JL. I just wanted to try them out. I know CX first is widely reputed to be one of the best. JL doesn't have that reputation. But I wanted to try something different.
Is that the same for most people here? My friends I surveyed would prefer to fly CX first both ways. Why would you settle for something inferior?
For me the answer is that something different is always better.

Sounds like a real first world problem. In all seriousness, why not mix it up?

I figure if you're happy with it, who cares what anyone else thinks. It's your money/miles being spent, not theirs!:cool:

Amen to that. And if the OP is planning on more flights in the future, it's a good idea to see which airline he likes more.

Mix it up I say. Why not? This is one of the reasons I don't belong to a frequent flyer program. I want to experience lots of airline.

So you are wasting all those beautiful FF miles you could be accruing? :eek: I have a fiduciary duty to tell you to join immediately!

You may or may not think they are are good as CX, but I think you will have a great flight.

I would definitely prefer to fly two airlines, unless I knew one was much worse.

I've flown JL F once and CX F four times. CX F might be the best going, but JL F is really good. The Salon champagne is definitely better than Krug, and if you're into tea, definitely have some of the Royal Blue tea if you can.

Yep I am wasting them. Also, I didn't say another reason I don't "do" miles is because I'm too lazy and stupid!! :D
