I actually had two interesting seatmates on a trip last week and enjoyed conversing with both of them. It's rare that I say more than a couple of lines but both these women were instrumental in getting through annoying delays and long flights.

I'm like fish on the water socializing with people i just met in a given flight. Every single flight that i take oftentimes the person seated next to me engages in conversation or i engage with my neighbors.

I have met from a Time's most influential person to retired marines. Some people are usually nice and have written me emails while inflight. I have been given snacks, sundaes while flying in coach. Other time a senior male FA did some Magic Tricks for me.

But the highlight of my socializing on a plane has been being involved in a complot by the FA's to hook me up with a another male passenger. They literally (all AA crew), LAX-HNL I had crew rest seats. I thought the FA's were going to be pissed off or spitting at me by having the crew rest. Row 17.

They instead told me i looked so lonely. And 2 females FA's started to gossip behind the curtain, then proceded to coach and picked up a cute guy around my age to sit besides me. They told us we made a good couple, and even a male FA came around and told us "that we could close up the curtains"... I was red, and the guy was red too. I think he wanted a kiss but my parents were seating just right across on the other side of the galley.

They were inquiring too about my handsome seat mate. lol :o
