Finding Schengen Entry/Exit Records?
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows where to ask for Schengen Zone Entry and Exit records for a US Citizen traveling on a US Passport? For an application, I am required to prove that I have traveled to Europe over 5 times in 10 years. I have been traveling yearly to Europe since 2002, however there have been many times where customs agents never stamped my passport for entries and exits, therefore I was wondering if i could obtain Schengen Zone entry/exit records from someone else... Thank You!:):) |

Finding Schengen Entry/Exit Records?
Really? Many times no entry/exit stamp?
My friends who had to go through a similar process all ended up only refering to the entry/exit stamps in their passport. I am not aware of any central EU authority from where you can request this kind of information. If you find any way, please do tell as it would be helpful. |
I have gone many times without getting stamped, maybe because I was under 18 and traveling with parents for 4/5 trips...

Did you have a personal passport or you were in your parentīs passport?
If you were in your parentīs, you can always try to get the stamps from theirs. If it was personal, itīs strange that they didnīt stamp it. |

Depending on ones trips, it's quite possible that one entered and exited the Schengen area multiple times on an individual trip. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary weren't part of Schengen until 2007; Switzerland joined in 2009. |
I have a slightly different dilemma and was wondering what might happen in the next time I apply. Passport control offers at my entry (Italy) and exit points (France) did not key in information into their computers. They just stamped the passport. What's worse is that the stamps are barely (at best) readable on both occassions.
As I used Eurostar to get to London from Paris, the UK border staff there stamped my passport indicating the checkpoint Paris. But this is the UK's database, not the Schengen's. My question is how can we overcome any problems arising from this? How can I prove that I stayed in the Schengen zone only within my allowed period? |

Generally speaking, at Paris-Nord, you'd go through Schengen emigration, followed by UK immigration. Wasn't this the case? |
In Rome (FCO), they certainly did not. I just showed the border officer my visa page and no questions asked, he stamped it and I was on my way to baggage claim. In Gare d'Nord, they looked at my visa page briefly and placed the relatively unreadable ink on the adjacent page. Immediately after the schengen border officer though, you're right, it was the UK border officer's turn.
I'm planning to go to Germany later this month. Luckily enough the visa I have is still valid. Will I have problems when I enter through them? I am slightly less worried about the Italian case as the hotel staff took a copy of my passport and by law was required to register us. |
