Lounge access at JFK

Hi

I am travelling from LHR to JFK with British Airways on a First ticket this week. I then (on a separate itinerary) travel in First from JFK to ORD with American Airlines.

Are there any Oneworld lounges that I will be able to access at JFK whilst I wait for my connecting flight (I have about 3 hours to kill)? I don't have any frequent flyer status with any airlines alas...

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Cheers

Chris

Yes you should have access to the AA Flagship lounge based on your inbound F longhaul ticket.

Thanks Nux

I'm travelling on a Z ticket (Avios redemption with a BA Amex 2 for 1) - does this affect my eligibility?

Cheers

No issue, the oneworld rules are here: http://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access

See "oneworld lounge access for First Class or Business Class customers".

Thanks Nux, really appreciate that!

Lounge access at JFK

YMMV since lounge access is usually based on the departing flight not arrival flight. JFK ORD in F does not grant any access to flagship or admirals club.

This is incorrect. There is no requirement it be a departing flight vs an arrival. In fact, the rules allow for access on arrival even the day after departure (for overnight flights).

That's not right. As alreay noted by nux, oneworld lounge access rules specifically provide for lounge access at a transit airport based on arrival flight when connecting from a long haul F/J fllight on to an international short haul or domestic flight. See here for lounge access rules.

I stand corrected.
