How reliable are taxis there in terms of fairness in pricing? In some cities - Athens comes to mind - we were advised to book a specific cab through the hotel concierge, who gave us the price it should cost and the taxi number to look for (this was the evening before), and we were told to pay nothing else and to be sure to take the taxi that had been booked. Worked perfectly. I've read some crazy stories about Athens taxi pricing tho.

The real question here is about 3:30 am and why on earth you went to bed in Barcelona so as to get up at perhaps 3am, while the night is still young. Save the money on the hotel, spend it in a bar or two and have fun!
-- If there was pricing differences between the cabs, I'd then considering picking and choosing. I couldn't tell. Didn't check to see if there was pricing in the window. |

Me Me Me. Assuming the cab does not have puke in it (figuratively speaking) and appears safe given the standard there, I think you should take the next cab in the line. The cabbie has probably sat in line. How would you feel if, at the DMV, you were skipped a couple of times because of the way you looked. I see your attitude as analogous. You may disagree. Fine. |
Just look for a Mercedes Benz and hop in:D:D
