Reminder: Daylight Saving Time ENDS This Sunday (

Almost everyone in the U.S. and parts of Canada will get an extra hour of sleep Saturday night as the clocks "fall back" with the end of Daylight Saving Time.

The European Union "fell back" last Sunday and the normal difference between time zones has been out of synch ever since.

This Sunday, the U.S. and parts of Canada will switch from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. The end of Daylight Saving Time in North America takes place exactly one week after Europe turned its clocks back one hour in observance of European Winter Time....

What is the period during which Australia observes DST?

Oh good, the sun is going to start going down at noon... That won't be depressing at all.

Thanks for the reminder. As someone who lives in a location that does not observe DST, I sometimes get out of touch.

Also, please let me use this thread to gratuitously report a pet peeve (beyond the overriding pet-peeve that is DST): when people or companies (e.g., phone recordings) use the term "Pacific Standard Time" (or some other location) year-round, e.g., "Thank you for calling American Express. Our office is now closed. Our normal operating hours are X am to Y pm Eastern Standard Time." This is inaccurate the majority of the time.

Better than the sun not rising until 8am.

There is something very unnatural about getting up in the dark. :td:

I have to get up in the dark anyway. Wish I COULD sleep till past 8.

What I detest is also having no light at the end of the day.

You're most welcome. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep

The annual piss and moan. It will never end. I remedy this situation annually by spending approximately 2 weeks at the end of each year right after the summer solstice at approximately 33.4500° S or 41.4667° S for the past 13 consecutive years.

So grow up and shut up! The alternative is travel, or die.

I guess it is a bit weird to wake up in the dark. And seems I'm a bit sleep deprived.

Guess the time change is what the doctor ordered.^:)
