Last update: It was a wine trip, and it was great! She made arrangements for several places I've not been (and a couple old fav's). I had forgotten what it was like to find new things there. ...made me see I've been in a bit of a rut. I'll have to change things up for my future trips.
Even though the surprise was... (ruined is definitely not the right word) ...I had one of the most memorable trips in quite some time.
