Are a380 windows hard to see out of? (a380 vs. 767 question)

Flying economy CDG-NYC. Same price for Delta 767 (76W) to EWR or Air France a380 to JFK. Main concern is being able to see out of the window.

Can any window seat aficionados who've flown on an Air France a380 testify about their experiences? I know I should avoid the upper deck because of the storage bin in between the seat and the window, but what about a window seat on the lower deck?

We flew an A380 with Singapore and could see fine out of the window seats.

Hello OP,

Friends recently flew LH SFO-FRA on an A380 and a window seat. The windows were the same size.. no problem.

The problem is the wing! It's a much wider wing. On other planes there's maybe three rows that are incovenienced because of the wing. But on an A380, there's *rows* of seats over the wing.

You might see out the window, but all you might see is wing and that's all!

YMMV.

I can't understand this. How could anybody contemplate a DL 767 instead of an A380. New interior, 6,000ft cabin, quieter and larger windows.

Upper deck economy window seats are Preferred seats, so Eilte or pay. Once you are in the air, upstairs or not is irrelevant anyway.

Thanks everyone. Actually, just came across this: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...rspective.html
which suggests what I was afraid of: the feel of a "larger" window is an illusion caused by a larger inner window, which ironically makes it harder to see out of the plane. Think I'll stick with the ol' 767.
