Just flew from Songkhla - SGZ-DMK on Nok Air. Was not too thrilled as I try to limit my travels to first world carriers Thankfully the trip was uneventful, and no worse than other discount airlines...

I flew ANB (Aniston, AL) - GAD (Gadsden, AL) on a Martin 404 as part of a Southern Airways itinerary which originated in ATL. I was traveling with my mother from Florida to a funeral in NE Alabama where my parents families lived.

The other day I flew TZA-SPR and back in Belize, which may not be too rare, as there are several scheduled flights per day... with Cessna and BN-2 aircraft.

It was a bit disappointing though, because the original itinerary was TZA-BZE-CUK-SPR: three 5-minute segments and two 5-minute layovers, but there was no demand for the other legs apparently, and they decided to fly directly.

The first segment is between both city airports: TZA (Belize Municipal) and BZE (Belize International), only 8 miles away from each other. I wonder if any other city has scheduled flights between 2 of their airports. I could understand, for example, EWR-JFK -with a helicopter-, but Belize City has a population of only 60,000 people!

Did SPR-TZA a few years ago...but not the reverse.

From what I've read, there used to be similar flights many years ago.

CO used to fly from Ellington Field (EFD IIRC) to IAH, so a few miles longer than HOU-IAH.

Missed the free parking and especially the extra 500 miles as CO Silver back then when they cancelled the service.

We flew EWR-JFK in a helicopter once. I was too young to remember why but I will never forget the experience.

While not the same city (or state) there are regularly scheduled flights between ORD and MKE, even though they're only 75 miles apart straight up the tollway. I've heard of (and I think this thread documents) similar short hops around the LAX area.

How about Vaeroy to Bodo in Northern Norway?

A fun little 25 minute helicopter flight versus a 6-8 hour ferry

OK, if you are going to include helicopters, I may well be the only Flyertalker to fly BFI to Victoria Harbour (Camel Point) Heliport CBF7 (no IATA code).

Helijet do call themselves Helicopter Airline, and do fly regularly scheduled flights, so guess that makes then an airline @:-)

I suspect a few of us have flown to YWH (Victoria Inner Harbour).

Even shorter lived BFI to YWH, don't recall airline, but probably Harbour Air on one of their (back then, don't know if they still land on land or just water) planes with wheels.

Not all that exotic, but short lived routes where FTers may not have flown

As far as I can tell from a search here I'm the only one on the thread so far that has flown:
GYD-GUW
BUD-GUW
GUW-URA

I've done LHR-GYD a few times and AMS-GYD more often.

SVO-SFO by way of RIX, WAW, LHR and JFK? On a mix of AirBaltic, LOT, BA and VA

Or perhaps PTP-DOM, (and varying flights through the independent Caribbean island nations) or SVO-PRG-LPL (seems to have finished after only a short spell last year), or TRF-LPL (now transferred to MAN).

Or even maybe IST-BOG/PTY-IST (I flew the maiden IST-BOG last year), which I ended up extending from TGL/to LHR. Hoping sometime soon maybe even go IST-HAV!

MDL-RGN or vice versa? RGN-NYT / NYT-RGN are probably not that unique - did a dozen of those.
