IDB compensation
For a domestic US flight, is the "two times the one way fare" IDB compensation (or four times the one way fare, depending on the length of delay) based on the fare actually paid by the passenger, or is it two times the Y (full fare coach) one way fare?

...the airline must pay you an amount equal to 200% of your one-way fare to your final destination that day http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/publi...tm#overbooking |
IDB compensation
But they would never tell you ( airlines) and indeed say ( in my experience) they don't owe anything for any delays / it is sad, the agents either not competent or dishonest .....my sad, but 99 times out of 100, that is my experience.
