Help with finding a good deal on a flight?
 

I've been a member on here for a while and I'm struggling so figured that I would turn here for some support.

Basically, I've been in a long distance relationship with a girl in California for the past three years, and on August 20th we are due to get married. I'm extremely happy about this and cannot wait for it to happen.

I've been saving and saving but I don't have all that much money, and I've been finding out that a direct flight to San Diego is going to cost about £1,000. Ultimately I will be able to pay this, but it would help me so much if there were any discounts or any way of being able to get the flight cheaper.

Does anyone have any tips or able to offer any advice on what I could do?

Put in every possible city pair in the world. For example, I flew roundtrip NYC to Dusseldorf for $750 this summer. At one time there were cheap fares to LAX as well. So maybe you could buy an advance purchase train ticket to Dusseldorf, fly to LAX, then take the train to San Diego.

There are also very cheap fares to Ireland from the U.S., so maybe it will be the same on the reverse.

Of course, it might be cheaper to go from London. Just giving you some thoughts.
