AC Business Class seat changed - help
I am travelling YYZ-MUC in business first on Friday June 28th AC 486. I had made the booking in March through a travel agent and had confirmed seats 6A & 5A.
Yesterday I happened to check and find they have reassigned me to 13G & 13K. Are they allowed to do this? Do I have any recourse to get my pre booked seats?

You can call them and ask or try it at the airport, but seat reservations are never for sure, even if the people pay for them, the airlines argue that there can be a/c changes every time without notice, so they cannot ensure the seats. You can try but you don't have any legal rights to have the seats you requested

If you go to the AC board, there was a thread in the last week that a computer glitch caused all business seat assignments to go away, which I'm sure is what happened to you.
Most airlines specifically disclaim that seat assignments aren't guaranteed, so you don't really have an recourse.
