FAA Moves Toward Easing Electronics Restrictions

Just one of many news outlets reporting this.

Highlights - Full power of electronic devices from boarding to exit.
No internet below 10,000 feet. No telephone calls.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. While I'd love to use my electronic devices for longer, I'm sure it'll be abused to the point where people will be making phone calls while hurtling down the runway and times they should be watching the safety presentation. That said, if it can get rid of the 6-10 announcements per leg about electronic devices that I have to hear, it may be worth it.

I reckon while FAA may ease the restrictions, it could still be up the airlines as to what they will allow.
