Help with PHL-SVG (Stavanger, Norway) economical booking.
I need to find a ticket to PHL from Norway (Stavanger).
I normally book wayyyyy in advance for trips back to Philly but my sister was just told she is getting back surgery on the 30th Aug. She doesn't really have anyone to take care of her so I offered to fly over for a few weeks to help her.
Now my problem is I am not having ANY luck finding decent priced flights. I normally travel back in late spring when flights are cheap but money is kinda tight so I had to pass however, anyone who has had back surgery knows having someone to help makes things easier and she has done alot for me in the past....so I feel it's the least I can do.
I have 36,000 eurobonus points and 38,000 BA avios (not much I know) at the moment and after checking MANY websites I feel so stressed and ready to pull my hair out!
Is there someone out there that is a true wiz at finding flights that can help me find a flight please! I would be most grateful.

Look for flights from a hub that Norwegian flies to from Stavanger, like Amsterdam?
You could also try flights to Newark ... ?
Even if you have to overnight somewhere.

You might want to look at EWR and JFK as destinations. I did a quick search on Orbitz and came up with (I searched on PHL but allowed airports within 80 miles which EWR is - you can train to Philadelphia easily from EWR):

JFK is probably your best bet, but EWR is even better for the train and IAD would be possible but more painful. Between Philadelphia and NYC or Newark, you can save considerably on train tickets by using local trains and transferring in Trenton IIRC.

Thanks for the replies everyone
I have been looking from NY/Newark and DC but tickets are coming out a bit out of my budget + I would have to get to PHL as I don't drive..I can only use public transport and with 2 bags in tow...alot to deal with and not to mention a bit heavy for me to handle at the moment.
I'm hoping a sale will pop up soon from someone. Even if I have to fly to the UK first.
Again, thanks for the replies so far and taking the time to look for me as well

It looks like taking the 850 and running might be the best advice.
When I ran some options looking for something that would work for you, I can't even find OSL-any us gateway airport for less. Throw in SVG being a regional airport (though not at all small), and PHL being a fortress hub for US, and there are lots of things working against you.
Off-topic, but I absolutely adored your country. Expensive to visit, but hands down the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with in my travels. Preikestolen was absolutely worth the hike, would have loved an extra day to see it by boat from the bottom of the fjord. Some of the most stunning scenery anywhere.
