lets discuss your flight memory stats
I haven't seen a recent thread on flight memory in a while...thought maybe we could share our most recent maps and stats.
2012 was a good year for me, adding over 50k miles and plenty of new routes. I have just passed the 400 flight mark as well. Some random info from me: - of my 402 flights, 241 are unique routes - my most frequented route is DFW-CMH at 12 times comprising 3% of my flying - I have visited 93 different airports in 18 countries - 13.4% of my flights have been in either J or F cabins :-/ - only 4% of my flights have been middle seats! - around 62% of my flights have been on either Delta or American - most flown aircraft is the MD-80 family http://my.flightmemory.com/johnincolumbus |
In 2012 I had 54 flights for a total of 105,000 miles.
Totals for me: 801 flights - 93% on Skyteam airlines 1,162,526 miles 3,002 hours 71 airports 26 countries 196 routes 5 continents |
In 2012, I flew just north of 46k miles. 86% of my flights were on SkyTeam (63% on Delta). 23% of the flights were on a B767. LHR and CVG were my top two airports.
In total, my stats are: Miles: 307,845 Flights - all: 189 My top 4 planes: B757, Candair RJ, B767, B737 My top 4 airlines: Delta (+NW), American, Continental, Qantas My top 4 airports: JFK, LGA, CVG, ATL Total of 66 airports Total of 27 airlines 80% in Y 15% in Biz or First 5% Economy Comfort/Plus/Premium I suspect these averages will start changing quite a bit, now that I live in the UK. Probably a whole lot more non-DL SkyTeam carriers (AF, AZ, KLM, SU). A jump in 767 usage, since it's DL's main jet on the LHR routes. A whole more Y and a whole less Biz/First, due to lack of status upgrades on partner carriers. |
good stuff guys

I fly a lot of the same routes over and over, so my map isn't that great. Also, I've only added about half of my aircraft and airline data to my flights, so it isn't complete. Never seem to fly as much as I'd like to... |
There is already a thread on this in the Trip Reports section: 2012 Your travel year in review. I suggest that this thread is merged with that one.

2012 Stats
103,910 total miles. About a 50/50 split between revenue and award travel. United = 56.9% of my flights. 46 airports, 16 airlines, 15 aircraft, 64 unique routes out of 72 flights, 23 countries. Chris |
I've only been tracking all of my flights for the past few years, so there are probably a few hundred flights I'm missing.
2012 100 flights 118,337 miles All but 6 flights were *A (4 on WN and 2 on PB) 34 different airports Since I began tracking 526 flights 577,643 miles 102 different airports My map is a gigantic blob of lines, as I almost never do the same route more than a few times, save for WAS-LAX, WAS-SFO, or DCA-ORD. |
2012 was a good year, bringing in 216,148 miles, 160 flights, about 70 new routes, and about 20 new destinations.
Lifetime, I'm right at 1.67 million miles and 1302 flights (hit 1300 on HKG-SFO with CX on Wednesday). - of my 1302 flights, 698 are new routes - I've managed IAH-MSY (and MSY-IAH) 47 times each. - flown to 236 airports in 61 countries - About 45% of my flights have been in J/F (percentage seems to be increasing steadily year by year ^) - 100 different aircraft variants flown on 130 different airlines/regional affiliates - So far in 2013, I've got some new carriers planned (Spirit, Sun Air of Scandinavia (BA Regional Carrier), Cape Air, Qatar Airways, and Air North). Will likely have some new carriers within Myanmar and Southeast Asia once I get around to booking tag-on flights to the RGN deal. - For 2013, also have some new aircraft types/variants planned (A380-800, 777-300 (non-ER), Do328JET, Cessna 402, and HS-748). |
2012 for me:
63 flights (50 international, 13 domestic US) 133,548 miles 21 countries 21 airlines My favorite new line on my map is SCL-SYD. |

Same here - that's one big gap missing on my map too!

Keep in mind, these are all vacations, there is zero flights for work here. And all flights are since 2001 (I m only in my early 30s) I think the rank is for premium members, no? |
