It's good to know that they airlines have a way to check for them, and that at least one airline is doing so. I wonder if they only check after a complaint, or if they do so proactively.

When I got a hotel room with bed bugs this year, they told me they can go from one suitcase to another, if one was already infested. Gross. Haven't had it happen personally thought.

The YYZ international departures area, near the gate to the European departures at T1 is one place that in my opinion is infested. Carpetted floors, big cushioned seats.....near the Austrian/Lufthansa departure gates.

After sitting their for 15 minutes in the seat I felt, and noticed one crawling on my collar, the little pest had been biting near my ear area. Ran to the washroom and immediately took my shirt off and got rid of the bugger.....

needless to say, I did not bother sitting on any of the seats until boarding. Now i am wary of sitting down in that area whenever I fly out to europe....
