Flight Question:

I booked a non-refundable roundtrip flight from IAH (Houston, Texas) to DEN (Denver, Colorado) with a connecting flight from DEN to RAP (Rapid City, SD) on the same day.

The problem is...I will already be in Denver on that day so I won't need to take the flight from IAH to DEN but I still need to fly to Rapid City

MY QUESTION:

If I don't take the flight from IAH to DEN will I still be allowed to take my flight from DEN to RAP?

Is there some law or airline policy that will prohibit me from taking the 2nd flight because I didn't take the first flight?

I sure would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Welcome to FT, and sorry I don't have better news: there is such a policy. If you miss any segment of your trip, the entire trip is automatically cancelled.

If you don't take the first leg, normally the second leg for the flight is cancelled as well. Most of the tickets (specially the non refundable) have no or very limited flexibility, so changing your departure airport will cost a a couple of bucks, sadly.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

Are they all on one ticket? If they are it won't work.

As already mentioned, if you miss a segment the rest of your trip will be canceled, including your return if it's a round trip ticket.
