Idle curiosity: Highest numbered street name....?

Passing a numbered street yesterday reminded me that I've been mildly curious about what might be the highest numbered street "name" in the U.S. numbering from a given city/town/metro area. (Not numbered highways -- e.g., U.S. 550, I-680).

I think the highest I've seen is 399th street far south of Kansas City.

Look closer. Go a wee bit west and there is a 403rd Street.

I'm seeing 261st as the highest in NYC

All throughout the south they name streets "County Road xxx," and I've seen some "County Road 951's" and such...if that counts.

Impressive! Northwest of Phoenix on US-60 there's another 261st Avenue.

May not quite fit but Apple HQs are located at 1 Infinite Loop.

In Salt Lake City and the surrounding area most streets just use numbers, as an indication of distance from the Temple. So you end up with streets like "West 17000 South."

If you play around in google maps you will find a few 2000th and 3000th st. addresses in both Iilinois and Kansas. They seem to be where county road 2000/3000 goes into a town and becomes a "street.".

Here in the southernmost part of LA, we have 266th Street

As BDA Shorts says, I think Salt Lake City takes the prize for this one. The highest numbered arterial would be 14,600 South.

And a wee bit south of there is 407th St.

I'd have to say that the SLC examples just don't seem like they're in the same category. For one thing, they're not called "streets". But maybe I'm just splitting hairs.

We have a 585th Avenue in Enumclaw, WA or if you are specifically needing a "street", there is also a S.E. 487th Street in Enumclaw

I curious about how one vocalizes that address. Do you say:

I live at 400 West "fourteen thousand six hundred south" or is there some shorthand version.

The highest I'm aware of is 547th Ave, off US 60 near Aguila, AZ, west of Wickenberg. This is near the La Paz county line, which is where the Phoenix/Maricopa County numbering ends.

From my vague recollection overhearing somebody on the phone once about six years ago, it's exactly like that!

Gainesville, FL has intersections where both streets are in the 200s.

For example, NW 227th Dr crosses NW 238th Ave.
