If those are new experiences, i find them to be pretty compelling. I love airports, always have, ever since I was a little kid. If it's not too out of the way, I like routing through an airport I've never visited.

If it's an aircraft or cabin or airline I've never experienced and it seems interesting, i might book my award travel in such a way as to experience it.

Sometimes using an award is like taking the airline for a test drive. You can test it before spending your money on it.

At the same time, it might be something that we would never be able to experience (such as premium cabin travel)

The reason I travel constantly for business and pleasure is because I love being out of my comfort zone. Whenever I travel to a different place, I love meeting the locals, witnessing their way of life, immersing myself in the culture, looking at the architecture, learning about the history, and of course, trying the food. :D
