Anyone see the report of the woman who was well endowed being told to not show cleavage or be kicked off on Southwest

So would a guy who had his shirt unbuttoned ...
....3 or 4 buttons would he be asked to cover up?
....my god why this aversion to the female body in the ESA??? |
This is an airline that when my address had the word Dam (as in, hold the water back) in it, they changed the word to Darn in the mileage program correspondence they'd send. :o

I love FT, I really do.
Someone takes off their shoes and puts their feet up on the bulkhead, he's committing a capital offense. A child in first class? THE HORROR!! Someone needs to write a law banning anyone under 16 from all planes!! The TSA wants to check your shoes? Don't you know that's the firts step towards the 4th Reich???!??? Woman boards with her ta-tas falling out of her shirt, hey man live and let live. Someone wants to watch porn on their iPad? Dude, it's my right to watch whatever I want. |

Yes, FT can be pretty funny if you cherry-pick a handful of extreme opinions and pretend they're representative of the whole.

Nothing extreme or cherry picked about what I said. There are umpteen threads where what I referenced has been said by many posters. And it is amusing.

I seem to remember that a few decades back, the FAs of this same airline wore uniforms that barely covered their nether orifices.
OTOH strictly for the purposes of this thread I've scrutinized the photo carefully and can't find an unbuttoned button. |

And going by the picture, her "ta-ta"s were not hanging out. And it is amusing. |

What would your reaction be, KoKoBuddy, if someone visited your home and put their feet on your wall?
I've traveled to a few dozen countries and several continents (but certainly far fewer than many others here). In most if not all of them, people take some care not to deliberately or conspicuously display their feet. Especially true in a lot of Asian and Middle Eastern countries where such displays are a very serious breach of etiquette. I'm not talking about being barefoot or wearing sandals/flips, but putting feet on tables or walls, pointing them at others, showing soles, or otherwise having them conspicuously displayed. I can think of no country in which feet waving in the air is considered polite or socially acceptable. Can anyone? |
All I see from that pic is some overweight woman with obvious cleavage that is commonplace in many places. Southwest overreacted.
I am no prude, but I have seen instances where I would have kicked some chicks off the plane(even if I would have enjoyed the view on a personal basis). I was standing in line in immigration/customs returning to Atlanta. There was a group of 3 or 4 teenage girls dressed in the shortest of short shorts, and bare minimal tops which made them look like some sluts ready to spread it all out if they chose to lie on the carpet. Almost every guy of every age were trying their best not to look like they were staring at such a titillating sight. Guys were actually looking at each other with that look "can you believe what we are seeing?". And this was in March, so extreme heat is not an excuse. Totally inappropriate. |
this is just like that guy who dressed normally when he went into ACORN offices, and then later dressed like a pimp when he went on TV. don't assume that how the passenger dressed for her media appearance is in any way the same as how she dressed on the airplane.
this story has all the markings of the woman who went to vegas to get her breasts augmented, dressed provocatively for the flight home, and went straight to the media to hype herself. |
