Yapta - How Does it Work?

I have been a member of Yapta for 2 weeks and so far have received just 2 e-mails (labeled Yapta Weekly Summary), and the second one had a price $40 higher than the first. If the price goes down, I am supposed to get an e-mail automatically, right, I don't have to wait for a weekly e-mail to arrive?

How does one decide when to buy, is it just a feeling that you are getting a good deal, or will Yapta tell you when it thinks the price is not going to get lower?

Thanks!

Also, how many flights do you usually sign up for at one time (for 1 trip)?

No one here uses Yapta? I guess the question is, what service should I be using?

Request the moderator relocate this thread to Travel Tools.

I have a second newbie question:
Why is my favorite tool (Yapta) for simple domestic commuter fares home providing incorrect pricing? When I get a Yapta alert of a fare drop and then check with the airline (US/B6), the Yapta fare cannot be confirmed with the airline/carrier. The yapta fares are sometimes off by more more then $100 for those same flight numbers.

Yes. Happened to me last week. Price dropped ~$200; was able to call AA and get a TCV for ~$50.
