Flight costing - more expensive closer the time?
Been watching flights to new york from london for february...
Went up £20 today. My fault - should have booked earlier. Is this generally the rule? Do they get more expensive closer the time or does it all depend? |
Yes, that's generally the case that prices will go up closer to the date.

See your at MCO. My fav place in the world. Been there 12 times in last 15 years.... |
Per Bing Travel's price predictor, the price is "dropping or steady" and the tip is to "wait".
I don't know how accurate this is, so don't put too much trust in it, but that's what it says. |

Well I went ahead and booked it anyway.
That week is actually kids holiday time in the UK (and possibly the US) so I dont think its ever going to be mega cheap. |
Reverse price skimming, works the opposite way of electronics.
