Whats the deal with Optiontown?

I saw some travel reports on airliners.net with Optiontown used for upgrades. Does this site work well and what airlines use it? Those whom have tried it, what are your thoughts?

I use it with Malev. If you do a search here you should find more information.

How recent is your latest experience with Malév and Optiontown and what was your original booking class? It seems to me that rules changed at some time around September.
