Orbitz has price assurance, meaning that if the price of your itinerary goes down, they will automatically send you a check for the difference. I have never tried this, so I don't know if there are any catches, but that's what their website says.

Once you get outside the USA the answer is actually often just plain "no" on the cheapest fares, even those sold by US-based carriers where comparable fares originating in the USA would have the penalty but be changeable.

Generally the case here in Canada.. there maybe a cancellation or change fee.. but the charge generally offsets a good portion of the cheaper fare..

AS' GARR linked at the start is easy to use and done online- credit posts instantly to mywallet and have one year to use it. Sometimes there is more then one drop even :cool:
