47. This sounds like yet another new start up that fate was not kind to: Eastwind Airlines (W9). I'll guess the routing was Boston (BOS) - Trenton (TTN) - Greensboro (GSO) - Tampa (TPA). Before they went under, I believe Eastwind did add several new B737-700s to their small fleet. However, at this time in 1997, I think the equipment would have been a used B737-200.

Eastwind jumped into and out of various routes in the eastern U.S. during its existence. Service to ATL, FLL, PVD, RIC, ROC and TPA was initiated and then discontinued. One constant appears to have been their service to Trenton, NJ as I believe no other air carrier was operating jet service into TTN at this time.

Mr. Roboto comes closest. Of course routes like ORD-LAX were operated for years by AA, CO, UA & TW and IAH-LAX by NA (Fri only) but not in 1992.

we have already ruled out the state capitol (Helena), and I recall with reasonable certainty that Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, and Missoula had jet service in the early 90s (one or more of Delta/SkyWest from SLC, Horizon from SEA/GEG, Northwest from MSP, United from DEN) ... I'm thinking there are only two other cities in MT -- Butte (BTM) and Kalispell (FCA) -- that could even be candidates for the answer, and since upthread we recently addressed FCA I'll go out on a limb here with BTM
