15. One more try. Aerolineas Argentinas. Too early for a A340 or at ex CP 744 so a classic 747-200?

13. Nope, it wasn't LOT, the connection was not made via Warsaw and the equipment wasn't a B737-400

13. Nope, it wasn't Swissair nor was the equipment the MD-80.

However, the connection was made via Zurich.

And with that, I'm off to our local BMW dealership to pick up the car followed by a doctor's office visit. I'll be back hopefully before the freezing rain commences.

13. Connection in Zurich but not Swissair.... so that must mean Crossair with an Avro ARJ-85. Crossair's ARJ's were the first ones I had ever seen when I passed through Zurich in the mid-90s.

Be safe with the freezing rain. We're supposed to get a mix of it and sleet over the weekend...

Your second flight will also be nonstop but will be in a smaller aircraft configured with an all coach cabin. Identify the airport you'll depart from in the New York City area, the air carrier you'll be flying with, the connecting city and both aircraft types.
7- I was initially thinking American -- an A300 JFK-San Juan (SJU) connecting to an ATR-72 -- but I believe AA was still using the First Class designation on Caribbean flights ... so instead I'll start the bidding with Air Aruba, operating to their namesake hub (AUA) with a 757 from Newark (EWR), and thence to BON with a YS-11

and circling back to MCAS El Toro, I arrived there in early Sep 1977 as a Space-Available passenger aboard a USAF C-9A "Nightingale" medevac flight that had taken a very roundabout route from Scott AFB (Belleville IL, ~30 miles east of St Louis) ... we stopped at Cairns Army Airfield (Fort Rucker in Ozark AL, ~20 miles northwest of Dothan), Kelly AFB (San Antonio TX), Biggs AAF (Fort Bliss in El Paso TX), and Kirtland AFB (shares the runways at Albuquerque NM/ABQ) ... I got a ride from one of the pilots to Orange County Airport (SNA) and caught a Golden West Airlines DHC-6 Twin Otter to LAX where my car was parked
strickerj likes this.

14. Also in 1996, only one airline was operating 747 service into Kilimanjaro (JRO) in Tanzania with the flight only operating once a week. What airline operated this flight and where did it depart from nonstop to Kilimanjaro? It wasn't KLM, Lufthansa, Air France or South African Airways and the nonstop flight in question did not depart from AMS, FRA, NBO or JNB
So let me go back to my original idea that it might be UTA, B747M, routing: something like CDG-BGF-JRO.

Hidey-ho, JL! You've really got 'em swingin' and missin' here! Good on ya! Let me see if I can connect with this one:

2. Now it's 1967 and time for yet another milk run flight! This time you are in Florida and are on your way from Pensacola to Key West with your flight making four stops along the way. Name the air carrier, all four stops in order and the aircraft. It was National operating an L-188 Electra. Stops were not made at JAX, MLB or PBI. So the routing we are looking for was PNS - ___ - ___ - ___ - MIA - EYW.

Okay then, let's try PNS-TPA-MCO-FLL-MIA-EYW with the Electra.

13. Correct! Although I believe Crossair operated both the Avro RJ85 and the Avro RJ100. Here are the scheds....

LX 571: Stuttgart (STR) 9:55a - 10:35a Zurich (ZRH)
Freq: Mondays and Fridays only
Service classes: C/Y
Equip: ARJ
Note: LX 571 also operated as SR 571 code sharing flt.

Connecting to....

LX 3470: Zurich (ZRH) 11:45a - 3:35p Kiev (IEV)
Freq: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only
Service classes: C/Y
Equip: ARJ
Note: LX 3470 also operated as SR 3470 code sharing flt.

And we are now under a Winter Storm Watch here with a major ice storm possible this Monday......
