Not enough info.
Are you single? Married? In a relationship? Looking for romance? Want to be alone?
What do you want to do? Are you looking for a "Wild Time" or a relaxing recovery type vacation?
Are you into the beach? The mountains?
Working out every day? Hiking? Touring? Dining? Health retreat? Hedonistic pleasures?

Ask yourself what you are looking for. Both locations are spectacular. It is your decision based on what you want out of a vacation next summer.

wife chose A, I chose B. Not that either of us would be all that upset with the other's choice.

this is for our 10th anniversary, 1 year late

we are foodies and very into wine. big city folks but have no problem with the countryside and doing some hiking.

I'd say B because Vienna is an excellent city very charming. Even though I haven't been to A that still doesn't sound like a bad place.
