down to only 11 weeks vacation this year - but still a pretty good travelling year - managed to hit six continents, as well as 12 new countries this year.

Mauritius, South Africa
Poland and Slovakia
Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia
Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan
Buenos Aires
Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Hawaii
and coming up: Thailand.

2012 - should have about 12 weeks vacation, so plans are already being made.

You should take a proper trip to the North... Pyongyang is fascinating. (I'm assuming your few minutes were at the DMZ... a visit from the North side is a much different experience).

Visit along the border is quite fun, too! The border at Dandong is okay, but you can see glimpses of the "real" North Korea further northeast up by Tumen, a sleepy border town compared to the bustle of Dandong. Of course, actually going across into North Korea is something else in itself. I don't plan to do it again though, funding the North Korean elite lifestyle once is more than enough for me.
