rant

To the jerk sitting in 2c on ua 712 lax-SFO eating mc Donalds fries and stinking up the first class cabin, it's just not cool. Eat it in the gate area. Sorry it's a long day. Rant over.

feel better? :)

take solace in the fact that:
  • The flight is only like an hour... maybe 1.5
  • Your upgrade cleared
  • They won't be able to fly for at least 3 months after the bypass.

Reminds me of the guy in a pink sweatshirt waiting nervously for his upgrade on the 3 class 767 ORD-SFO when he was #4 on the list and there was only 1 seat in C remaining.

Turns out he had to use a seat belt extension, could not put the armrest down, had 2 tapas snackboxes, 1 pringles and 2 cans of coke.

Of course, this is all hearsay from my friend who was in Y and I was in F :D

How exactly can someone "stink up" the inside of a UA plane? It's not like they've ever heard of air freshener. I rather like when someone brings on food. It helps mask the stank of "old airliner".

OP could have been in paid F. Although as CO continues to infect UA, OP may no longer be able to upgrade into/purchase F because the 320 or 757 will be headed to Europe or something and an EMB 135 will take its place. :D

First of all Co doesn't fly Emb 135's and second the OP was probly mad cuz the micky D's was better that what United was serving. :D

BTW is this what we have to look forward on the combined board? A pax complaining about food bought at the airport. I say we close this thread.

better stick to UACO then, b/c if you come to AA, you will find me doing that on a regular basis in F on short, mid-con and long-haul flights

Assuming you are referring to the smell of the fries and no other smell - you do seem to betray a huge sense of entitlement....:td:

Consider yourself fortunate. 2C could have been me, pulling the plastic bottle of Nuoc Mam from my "Kippy" to add some flavor to a bland UA domestic entree. Good thing the airline wasn't serving rice. I would have pulled out the little baggie of KimChi. I think there are a couple of plastic packets of Chipotle in Adobo in the bottom of my "Kippy", ready to aromatize the cabin.

Or the absolute stench of those who apply perfume or cologne by the gallon.

:td::td:

So true OP. What a jerk. Whenever I buy food to eat on the plane I always poll everyone in the gate and make sure that I will not offend anyone's sensibilities with my food selection.

Nothing stopping the OP retaliating with a big, stinky fart?

Seriously though - blame the airline for the food being shit, not that passenger for trying to feed himself.

Maybe the airport should restrict selling smelly foods. I imagine, it can be a problem with most flights, passengers frequenting smelly food restaurants.
