Paris Airfare

Hi All, and thanks in advance for answering this question. My large extended family is going to Paris the first week in June. I have been watching airfares from DFW, which hover around the 1500-1650 range. On Feb. 15th, they dropped to 1265, but for only 2 hours, and I missed it. Does anyone think this might happen again, or should I bite the bullet and go ahead and book at the higher price? Also, any airline recommendations for this flight?
Thanks!

I don't know about the US, but I know that Air France is having a seat sale right now from Canada. I think it's for travel until the end of May, though.

ETA: Alternately, you could try splitting up your trip - DFW-JFK, then JFK-CDG for instance.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.601 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/417)

AA was offering a Business Class fare from MIA and BOS to CDG for $1265 roundtrip (about $1450 after all taxes and fees). Perhaps that fare was briefly offered from DFW.

The fare might still be available from MIA/BOS, if that does you any good.

I think they're offering it to match a Delta fare from Atlanta, so you might want to check that too.

And welcome to FT!

I just checked Kayak & Cheapoair and I saw flights on Continental for less $1,200.

Predicting what airfares will do between now and any time in the future is like predicting the stock market. See something good? Jump on it.

Sure, but we're discussing the definition of "good." Early June DFW-CDG, I think "good" in coach is +/- $1200. But this year we have oil uncertainty, soft economy, and unrest / disasters in multi places, so, hard to know.

I'm on a mailing list, darn, I can't remember who it is from, but this guy says to wait until the end of March, beginning of April for June airfares to drop.

If I can find who it is, I'll pass along the site and you can decide for yourself.

I am also flying to Europe in June and I was recently checking the number of seats on particular flights, and very few coach seats were bought.

It was Rick Seaney at farecompare.com http://rickseaney.com/

great. I will wait and see if it fluctuates between now and the end of the month. Thanks!
