Once booked a trip for my parents and the PNR came back as BACONN. Will never forget that!

Actually, I can't remember which airline it is now, but I remember reading about one that would let you choose your own PNR.

Really Bizarre PNR

The holy grail would be if someone got DYKWIA.

You should call Delta and tell them that you are GREATLY offended by the suggestion, and would expect compensation. Kudos if you can pull it off. Hehehe.

I take it that was after you Photoshopped her boarding pass?

The algorithm that generates the record locators in Deltamatic does check a table of IDs that have been identified as not-very-nice IDs. Would be surprised if BL0WME was not in their exclusion table.

I don't know that this was ever given for a PNR but I do know that an airline had a fare basis code that was BL0WME....IIRC it was UA or US that had that fare basis code. I'm sure there is another thread somewhere about that!

Edit to add: Found a link, appears to be US that had it:

Funniest PNR I ever had - and I saw more than my fare share:

0RGSMN

Yeah, I nearly **** myself laughing - that one was YEARS ago...

Had a lady who desperately wanted to change her PNR because it was something like GRN666... Yeah, we didn't make the change.

Exclamation Thread Alert

I will bet that really bizarre passenger name records also exist on airlines other than Delta Air Lines, which is why the new home for this discussion is now the TravelBuzz! forum.

This should be fun as FlyerTalk members share passenger name records from other airlines...
