Should I book or wait? Please help.
I have been planning this trip for the last few months and would really appreciate any help and advice.
My wife and I will be leaving Montreal to Athens with a 2 hour connecting stop at CDG on June 3rd. Our son, who is 16 will take the same flight on the 23rd of June and meet up with us on Milos, Greece. Our return trip will be on the 24th of July via CDG with a 3 day layover in Paris before heading home to Montreal on the 27th. The prices I am being quoted now hover around $1010-1050 for my wife and I and $1250-1350 for our son. Flying Air France. My question is whether I should go ahead and book at these prices or wait a few more weeks just in case prices drop. I have not taken a trip in years because of health issues so I am really out of the loop. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, John |
No one can accurately predict airline prices. It's as complex as predicting the stock market.

look at travelocity or other site which will show you prices for multiple a/ls.....
20 years ago, we paid ~$1200 to europe, so the price is down from then..... you might save a bit by waiting til 60 days or so before the flights, but if the itin & sked fits, i would go for it, particular re son....however, we dont know how the recession is going to affect summer travel....good luck... |

Thanks again, John If you do buy them..DO NOT keep checking afterward to see if the prices go down. Just enjoy your trip. Greece is great! |
A G note for the trip you're describing seems reasonable.. I would pull the trigger, cause the trip cost may go up.
