Cabin Destinations
 

I'm looking to stay a weekend in a cabin somewhere close to nature, and would prefer to go somewhere somewhat warm, since it's about 10 degrees in Chicago right now! If warm isn't possible, then hopefully at least warmer than 10 degrees :)

Any recommendations? I'd prefer somewhere not very commercialized with tons of cheesy touristy stuff.

my 1st thought was that you wanted to backpack in ~ 10 klicks from anyone w/ a case of alpo, can opener, canteen, water purifier, camera & binocs.....

you could also look at national / state parks...
